About This Blog

This summer I’ve been granted the chance of a lifetime- 10 weeks in Rwanda studying gastrointestinal parasites in free-ranging olive baboons (Papio anubis). This blog will chronicle my experiences and serve as a way of keeping in touch with family, friends, and anyone else who wants to follow my journey.

My work in Rwanda is funded by the Expanding Horizons Program at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, the Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies, and the Silent Heroes Foundation, and is done in cooperation with Dr. Ann Apio of the University of Rwanda, Nyagatare, and the laboratory of Dwight Bowman at Cornell University.
